Committee

The committee currently consists of five members who look after all aspects of the realization of our projects.

President — Lydia Voelke
Lydia Voelke

Lydia Voelke started playing the violin at the age of 7. In 2016, she entered the Lausanne Conservatory in François Gottraux's class and stayed there until the certificate class.

Since the age of 12, she has played in numerous orchestras such as the Orchestre des Collèges et Gymnases Lausannois, the Orchestre des Jeunes de Suisse Romande, the Bande Son orchestra, the Orchestre Riviera Symphonique, or the Orchestre Qui Passe Par Là.

After graduating high school (Matura) at Auguste Piccard Gymnasium, she studied law at the Universities of Lausanne and Neuchâtel, which she completed in August 2024. Since then, she has started her professional life as a lawyer, while continuing to play the violin in various orchestras.

Production Director — Claire Heinrich
Claire Heinrich

Born in France in 2001, Claire started playing the cello at the age of seven at the Rouen Conservatory, in the class of Isabelle Loubaresse and later Nathalie Ruget. She stayed there until 2018 before entering the preparatory cycle for higher education in Véronique Marin's class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rueil-Malmaison. In 2021, she was admitted to the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, where she is currently pursuing her Bachelor's studies with François Salque.

Upon her arrival at HEMU, Claire founded the Trio Aldébaran with two classmates, with whom she performs regularly in concert. They also won second prize at the Lavaux Classic Competition in 2022.

Passionate about orchestra, Claire joined the Orchestre-atelier Ostinato in 2020, in the Paris region, and participated in the project Les Troyens with the Jeune Orchestre Européen Hector Berlioz, under the direction of François-Xavier Roth and the tutoring of musicians from the orchestra Les Siècles. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra and regularly participates in youth orchestras in the Lausanne region. In September, she joined the music commission of the Orchestre Symphonique en Vogue, of which she was also principal of the section in 2022 and 2023.

Production Director — Marie Fasel
Marie Fasel

Born in 2002 to pianist parents, Marie Fasel started playing the saxophone at age 8 in Elie Fumeaux's class at the Lausanne Conservatory. She distinguished herself in various competitions throughout her path such as the JSMC, the Swiss Youth Music Competition, the Bach Competition, or the Contemporary Music Competition in Sion. Passionate about symphonic music, she began studying the horn in 2017 in Vincent Canu's class and plays in various orchestras, including the Orchestre Riviera Symphonique under Luc Baghdassarian. After 3 years at the Auguste Piccard Gymnasium in the Special Matura class, she obtained her saxophone certificate and matura in 2020. She is currently pursuing her studies majoring in Archaeology in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lausanne.

Secretary — Marguerite Lebeau
Marguerite Lebeau

Born in 2002, Marguerite Lebeau grew up in Geneva where she started her cello studies at the age of seven at the Geneva Conservatory.

In 2021, she obtained her Certificate of completion with Honors of the Jury simultaneously with her high school matura with honors at Collège de Saussure in Music option. The following academic year, Marguerite took classes for a year at the Lausanne Conservatory with Marc Jaermann. Fascinated by the orchestra since her first steps in music, she continued this passion by integrating the same year the Orchestre Symphonique en Vogue under Gabriel Pernet.

Marguerite is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in the Faculty of Arts in modern French and film history, aiming professionally at writing.

Treasurer — Edouard Mouron
Edouard Mouron

Edouard Mouron discovered the violin in 2005 and quickly became passionate about classical and orchestral music. He was first trained by Christine Gerecz, then continued his learning with Rachel Fisher-Pollard, with whom he obtained his conservatory certificate in 2021 and continues to perfect his playing today. Curious and avid for new experiences, he invests himself in several musical ensembles. He plays regularly with Bande Son and had the opportunity to perform in Austria with the ASO Wien (Akademisches Symphonie Orchester der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien). In 2024, he joined the Orchestre Symphonique en Vogue (OSV), where he now holds the position of treasurer of the committee, combining his love for music and his management skills. Alongside his musical path, Edouard studied management at HEC Lausanne, where he earned his Master's before starting his professional career. For three years, he has been evolving as a supply chain consultant in Geneva, a field where rigor and strategy are essential.

Member — Paul Emile Marchand
Paul Emile Marchand

Paul Emile Marchand started playing the cornet at age eight at the Pully Corps de Musique Music School and was introduced to the trumpet. He participated successfully in numerous regional, cantonal, and national competitions. In 2017, he obtained his AVCEM Certificate with Honors of the Jury and entered pre-HEM in Olivier Theurillat's class at the Lausanne Conservatory. In parallel, he did his recruit school with the military music and currently plays in the Swiss Army Symphonic Wind Orchestra. Paul Emile Marchand started his Bachelor in Arts of Music in trumpet in Lucerne in Philippe Litzler's class in autumn 2018, enriching his training during masterclasses. In various projects, he played as 1st trumpet or solo cornet in the Lucerne City Orchestra and the Landwehr of Geneva. After finishing his Bachelor's in music in 2021, he reoriented and started a Bachelor's at HEC Lausanne which he will finish in January 2025.

Member — Jessica Walgenwitz
Jessica Walgenwitz

Jessica Walgenwitz started music at age 8 at the Nyon music school. She continued her courses in solfège and ensemble there. She won several titles in different competitions such as the Concours des Solistes de la Côte or the Flute Festival in Gland. In 2015, she was admitted to pre-professional class at the Lausanne Conservatory in Sooa Chung's class as well as Special Matura class at Auguste-Piccard Gymnasium. In June 2019, she founded the Orchestre Symphonique en Vogue as part of her high school matura paper, organizing the first concert in October 2019. She had the privilege to perform as soloist Mozart’s flute and harp concerto by Mozart with Anne Bassand. Jessica Walgenwitz plays regularly in various music projects; she is notably 1st flute of the Orchestre d’Harmonie de l’État de Genève. She obtained her flute certificate from AVCEM in April 2020. Jessica was admitted to the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne in José-Daniel Castellon's class in June 2020, where she is currently pursuing her second year of bachelor.

Member — Eline Gros
Eline Gros

Born into a musical family in the Vaud countryside, Eline quickly became passionate about music, particularly the flute, her favorite instrument. She started playing the flute at age 8 and continued her studies at the Bern University of the Arts in the classes of Christian Studler and Adam Walker. After obtaining her Bachelor's in 2021, she went on to do a Master's in instrumental pedagogy, which she obtained in 2023 with Distinction (Mention Excellent). In September 2025, she will begin a Master's in concert performance at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, in the class of José-Daniel Castellon. A substitute musician at the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, she also performs with various ensembles and project orchestras. Alongside her artistic practice, Eline teaches flute and solfège, notably at the Nyon Music School. Passionate about both teaching and orchestral playing, she also explores other musical universes, notably jazz, with her group Nancelot.

Former Member — Gaétan Herold (2019-2024)
Gaétan Herold (2019-2024)

Gaétan Herold began playing the clarinet at age 7 at the Monthey Music School. He continued his courses at the Sion Conservatory with John Schmidli where he obtained a non-professional certificate in 2018. After a year in the pre-HEM cycle, he continued his training in the Post-certificate cycle from 2019, a diploma he obtained with Honors of the Jury in 2020. In parallel, he did a certificate in instrumental conducting.

Gaétan Herold plays in various ensembles, including the Orchestre de Saint-Maurice, the Swiss Army Symphonic Wind Orchestra and the Valais wind orchestra. He also has numerous volunteer involvements in the cultural sector. Passionate about opera, he directed Mozart’s “Der Schauspieldirektor” for the OSV in autumn 2023. After a Master's in micro- and nanotechnology, he started a PhD in bioscience engineering at Ghent and Laval (Quebec) universities. After a year and a half as president and two years as production director, he left his position to Marie Fasel and Claire Heinrich. Still active in the student and music world, he keeps an active role in technical assistance and advice for the OSV.

Former Member — Marie Ausländer (2019-2022)
Marie Ausländer (2019-2022)

Marie Ausländer began playing the cello at the age of 6 at the Lausanne Conservatory (Martin Reetz's class from 2010). She continued her musical path in the Special Matura class at Auguste-Piccard Gymnasium, while being in the pre-HEM cycle at the Conservatory. She obtained her Higher Certificate in cello with Honors of the Jury in 2022. She has played in many formations and is currently a member of several ensembles, notably the SJSO (Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra).

Marie Ausländer started in 2022 a Master's in Language and Communication Sciences at the University of Lausanne, specializing in Public Discourse and Communication Analysis.
After a year and a half as president, she left the OSV committee in late 2022.

Former Member — Céleste Bouillet (2022-2023)
Céleste Bouillet (2022-2023)

Céleste Bouillet began playing the viola at the age of six at the Cachan Conservatory, in Corinne Chevauché's class. Despite a deep interest in sciences, she did an internship at age fourteen at the Orchestre Symphonique Pasdeloup and was in parallel section leader in the Val-de-Bièvre Symphony Orchestra.

It is after a year of biology license at the Pierre and Marie Curie University that she finally decided to concretise her musical career and successfully passed the entrance exams to the Regional Conservatories of Paris and Boulogne-Billancourt to finally integrate the latter in 2019 in Sébastien Levy's class. That same year, she was a finalist in the National Competition for Young Violists. In 2020, she joined the Orchestre-Atelier Ostinato and won the Rosenthal chamber music competition organized by the Orchestra.

Furthermore, her chamber music training continues with the Quatuor Désaccords at the conservatory of the 17th arrondissement of Paris. In 2020, the quartet organizes educational concerts for high school students around Shostakovich, then, in following years, participates in numerous festivals (Les Vacances de Mr. Haydn, Musik en Suite, Le Festival du Chatelier...).

In September 2021, she is accepted to the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne and continues her musical path there. Very interested in orchestra, Céleste takes part in many symphonic groups like the Jeune Orchestre de l’Abbaye de Saintes, the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra, which she joined for the Spring 2022 tour, the Orchestre Symphonique en Vogue, whose committee she integrated in November 2022, or the Orchestre Bis Repetita, for which she was section leader in the December 2022 session. She was also section leader for the production of Gounod's Faust opera at Château de Linières in summer 2022.

Former Member — Adèle Chavanne (2019-2021)
Adèle Chavanne (2019-2021)

Adèle Chavanne starts playing the violin at age 6. In 2011, she enters Marcel Sinner's violin class at the Lausanne Conservatory, and passes her AVCEM Certificate with Honors of the Jury in 2017. In parallel, she follows piano and singing courses. After joining the Special Matura classes at Auguste-Piccard Gymnasium, Adèle enters the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) where she is currently doing a Bachelor's in Theoretical Branches aiming to teach solfège.

For one year, she works within the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich as student manager.

Called to other functions in cultural management, she left the committee in 2021.

Former Member — Fabian Ding (2023-2024)
Fabian Ding (2023-2024)

Fabian starts playing the cello at age 6 in Évian-les-Bains and obtains his certificate of music studies at age 17 in 2015. During this period, he participates in the Suzuki world convention in Turin in 2006 where he plays with nearly 2000 musicians 'El cant dels ocells' by Pablo Casals. Strengthened by this experience, he joins thanks to his teacher Alexis Yasmadjian the Rencontres musicales d’Évian where he discovers the sensations of the symphonic, notably in the La Grange au Lac concert hall, built entirely of larch and pine wood in 1993 as a gift to cellist Mstistlav Rostropovitch.

He then continues his musical path as an amateur and gives some music lessons accompanying his profession in spatial planning.

He continues his musical path with the support of Martin Reetz, teacher at the Lausanne Conservatory, and plays in various regional ensembles, allowing music to radiate through his involvement in the associate world.
